Truly one of the best times to find crazy talented artists and groups who really put the "club" in "dance clubs." Nowadays, a lot of it is cookie-cutted EDM crap, but thankfully Le Matos is not one of them, and continue to push out some of the best road-rage stompers and neon-destiny themes, in this collection and their newer stuff.

Retrowavers and dark-synthists, it's time to hear your history in awesome action. Favorite track: Quiet Earth.

e_tuna Much of this album is rough around the edges, which is to be expected of a compilation of early tracks. However, beneath the healthy Daft Punk influence (which blanketed the entire scene in the 'naughts), the elements that have come to define Le Matos are still undeniably present: long developing, smooth but gritty, melodic, driven synth house with machine guns for bass lines. A toss up between Quiet Earth and 88mph, I had to choose the funkier of the two. Favorite track: 88mph (Video Edit).

# Moonholders and e_tuna comments are very accurate, so little is to add about them. This album of Le Matos's early stuff is very rythmic and indeniably retro, just as if the 80's were revamped and multiplied within the 90's. And many tracks have the synthwave vibe which would become more and more refined along the group's discography.
